New managing board

The Association of Veterinary Consultants elected a new managing board at its 13th General Assembly in Lisbon, Portugal, last month.

Maggie Fischer of Shernacre Enterprise was appointed as general secretary, Dr Klaus Hellmann of Klifovet as president, Dr Vincent Beuvry of Orkeo as vice-president, and Dr Gert-Jan van Kesteren of Condor Consulting as treasurer. Dr Bill Vandaele, one of the founders of the AVC, was made an honorary member in recognition of his efforts to establish the AVC as an interested party with the European Food Safety Association, European Medicines Association, and other European bodies.
