Baghdad-born Dr Salman does philanthropic works using his veterinary skills
Veterinarian Dr Mo Salman is this year's recipient of the Scholarship Impact Award, one of the highest awards given by Colorado State University.

Dr Salman is a professor in the department of clinical sciences at the University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
In a long career, he has helped build national animal health infrastructure in countries that have recently won independence or that have been at war.
Dr Salman also helped set up the Animal Population Health Institute at Colorado State, which addresses animal health around the globe to help countries maintain stability in their economies or in the health of their citizens.
