USDA appoints chief economist

Dr Glauber is at the helm
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has appointed Dr Joseph Glauber as chief economist. 
He will be responsible for the USDA's agricultural forecasts and projections and for advising the secretary of agriculture on the economic implications of alternative programs legislation and regulations.
Dr Glauber had been acting chief economist since January 3rd following the retirement of Dr Keith Collins.
