Androulla Vasilou appointed new head of EU animal health
Androulla Vasilou is the new European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection DG Sanco, which is responsible for public health, food safety and animal health and welfare matters across the EU.
Ms Vasilou replaces Markos Kyprianou, who has resigned to take up the office of Foreign Minister in the recently elected new government of Cyprus.
