Alan Reade replaces Kevin Leech as non-executive chairman of Accura Animal Health
"Kevin has been instrumental in the development of Accura, and we are delighted that he will be continuing as a consultant," says chief executive Bernard Ross.
Alan Reade is now non-executive chairman of the company. He has his own life sciences consultancy, Global Strategy Expression, but was executive chairman and CEO of Merial Ltd from 2000-2005, and before that head of global integration at Aventis Crop Science. Mr Reade is also a former president of the International Federation of Animal Health. The company has also appointed Professor Donald Davies as a director. Prof Davies has 38 years experience in research into drug action and safety.
Accura specializes in pharmaceutical products for companion animals. The company, which acquired the Irish veterinary diagnostics business Tridelta last year, is seeking a listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of London's Stock Exchange.
