Veterindustria, the Spanish animal health industry association, has appointed Dr Alfonso Las Heras del Río as its new technical director.

Since 2001, Mr Heras has been responsible for the association's permanent technical committee.

He gained his veterinary degree and doctorate from the Complutense de Madrid University in Spain.
