Defra appoints new chief executive of Animal Health

Brown joins DEFRA
The UK's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has appointed Catherine Brown chief executive of its Animal Health unit. 
Ms Brown, formerly chief operating officer, succeeds Professor Steve Edwards, who has been interim chief executive since March.
In her new role, Ms Brown will start modernizing Animal Health's operating model, as well as delivering the unit's annual performance targets.
She previously worked for the National Health Service and BUPA.
