Interim injunction
Norbrook Laboratories has obtained an interim injunction to prevent a former employee from working for Pfizer. 
The injunction, granted by the High Court in London on January 4th, prevents Rebecca Adair from joining Pfizer's sales team. Norbrook maintains that Ms Adair, who no longer works for the company, is in possession of confidential technical and commercial information. Norbrook managing director Edward Haughey says that Ms Adair's employment contract specifically forbade her from working for a competitor within 12 months of leaving her position at the company. Norbrook was acting to protect its interests, he added.
A spokesman for Pfizer said: "The matter is being dealt with by the courts and Pfizer does not wish to comment at this time."
The case is due to have a full hearing at a later date.
