Dr Shiva Patil joins Putney

Putney, a US company that develops generic drugs for companion animal veterinarians, has appointed Shiva Patil as director of pharmacology. He will oversee companion animal studies.

Dr Patil was previously vice-president of clinical research at Acclaim Pharma Research, a Phase I contract research organization.

He has more than 17 years' experience in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism and drug transport studies.
