Professor Peters is GALVmed's interim director for R&D

GALVmed, a non-profit organization that aims to increase poor farmers' access to animal health vaccines and other pharmaceuticals, has appointed Professor Andrew Peters as interim director of R&D.

He succeeds Dr Samuel Thevasagayam, who will rejoin Pfizer's animal health team.

Professor Peters has worked at Pfizer Animal Health and Hoechst Animal Health UK (now Intervet) before setting up his own animal health consultancy. He is a part-time director of translational research at the University of Edinburgh, and he has been a Special Professor at the University of Nottingham since 2000.
