New board members for American Veterinary Medical Association

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is to install two new members to its executive board at its annual convention in New Orleans in July. Both will serve terms running from 2008-2014.

Dr Larry Dee will represent Florida, Georgia and Puerto Rico.

He is co-owner of a companion animal hospital, and has served as president of the American Animal Hospital Association and the World Small Animal Veterinary Association.

Dr Thomas Meyer of Vancouver, Washington, is to represent District XI. He is the co-owner of a mixed animal practice in Vancouver, Washington, which he established in 1979.

He was chair of the AVMA House Advisory Committee in 2002-2003, and served on the committee from 1999 to 2007.
