VLA (Veterinary Laboratories Agency) launches new biological reagent and proficiency testing catalogue
New catalogue
The catalogue contains several new and unique reagents and proficiency testing schemes

The UK's Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA), which provides animal disease surveillance, diagnostic services and veterinary science research to the animal health industries, has launched a new biological reagent and proficiency testing catalogue for 2007/08.

VLA says that the catalogue contains several new and unique reagents and proficiency testing schemes that are aimed at increasing the agency's support to UK and international veterinary laboratories.

Previously, the catalogue was only available in a limited format with products only supplied on special request. However, laboratories now have better access to reagents, many of which are for diagnosing avian influenza, that are difficult to source.

The catalogue is available free of charge. For more information about the product range, visit www.vla.gov.uk
