Flies can transmit exotic Newcastle, say US researchers
US scientists have found that flies that have been exposed to a food source infected with exotic Newcastle disease (ND) can pick up and carry the virus for several days and later pass it on to chickens that eat them.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to conduct a study into air emissions from poultry, dairy, and swine animal feeding operations (AFOs), the first of its kind, in collaboration with US farmers and eight US universities.

The Animal Pharm Industry Excellence Awards 2006

Despite Pfizer being named Animal Health Company of the Year, it was Merial that dominated the evening by winning three awards, New Veterinary Product – Livestock, Best New Veterinary Product – Equine, and Drug Delivery Advance.
