Horses are getting fat
Study highlights equine obesity

US researchers have found that a significant number of horses are overweight or obese, and may suffer from serious health problems as a result. While the problem of obesity in cats and dogs has been well documented, previous research has not found it to be prevalent in horses.

Vaccination through drinking water is no longer enough in producing Salmonella-free eggs

With stricter regulatory controls over Salmonella in eggs being introduced across Europe, managers of intensive production facilities can no longer assume that vaccination through drinking water is sufficient. They must check that the product reaches the bird at the right dose, advises a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
