It's not appropriate to extrapolate incidences of foreign-induced tumors in mice to increased risks in other species, says the AVMA in response to press allegations about the link between transponder implants and tumors in animals. The association also advises against a "rush to judgment" on the RFID technology, given the small number of cases compared with the large number of chipped companion animals. More
