The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is to assess the risk to public health posed by Salmonella in pigs. The research, much of which will be outsourced to a consortium of European institutes, could form the basis of new measures to tackle Salmonella, such as targets for the reduction of the bacteria in pigs....
